This could make Nidhogg considerably smaller than Jormungandr but, then again, Norse mythology isn't actually that meticulously thought out, haha. For example, you are large enough that you can't really chew on a single ant, but you can chew on a piece of meat or even something as large as you. He could be just as big or larger, but given that he is always chewing on corpses, maybe that gives us a read on his size.
